Product & Business Development Manager, Industry Division GPBM Nordic

Responsibility as Product & Business Development Manager

The existing market for GPBM Nordic’s industrial business is growing rapidly in France, Italy and the Nordic countries and new products and applications are in need of battery solutions. In this role you will work with GPBM’s Key Account Managers, Marketing team and Field Applications Engineers. You will also work with the R&D department with focus on bringing new projects and solutions to be studied, developed and marketed in the best possible way. You will also work partly as a Key Account Manager for specific new customers in Europe which you have searched and identified. You report to the BU Manager of the Industry Division. This is a new job position which means that you will have a great possibility to adapt the role and the working tasks, while working with a broad range of marketleading products & solutions. For example, you will:

  • • Explore, understand, evaluate and define market opportunities, main target groups and action plans.
  • • Evaluate and define the business value proposition for each product and target group.
  • • Participate in business innovation, sales, products and solution development for the OEM- and MROmarkets.
  • • Initiate and drive new sales directly towards NIF (Nordic countries, Italy and France) customers and operate as a Key Account Manager.
  • • Work with the BU Manager to define go-to-market plans.
  • • Coordinate actions with marketing agency and internal marketing team regarding sales and communication tools, E-marketing activities (CRM), planning and preparation for exhibitions, surveys etc
  • • Follow up of action plan & interaction with the NIF sales team and marketing teams.


Your personality

We believe you have a comprehensive business- and entrepreneurial mindset. You are result-oriented and see opportunities before anyone else, and act accordingly. Therefore you have the ability to manage several projects simultaneously. As an entrepreneur you are known for maintaining good relations with your business partners (suppliers, customers and colleagues). You should also fit the description of a daring, innovative and a self-driven team-player who can easily describe, anchor and initiate new strategies and action plans. To work under pressure in an international demanding business environment is a concept which you are both comfortable and confident with.

Your qualifications

  • • You are genuinely interested in technical products and solutions.
  • • You can communicate clearly on different levels and within different business cultures.
  • • We would prefer you to have a couple of years of successful experience in similar B2B products, sales or marketing positions.
  • • You have relevant education for the position.
  • • You are familiar with Market statistics, where to look for them and to be able to produce estimates and calculations.
  • • You are familiar with MS Office and some basic knowledge in Adobe suite is a plus.
  • • Fluent written and spoken English is a requirement.
